TM collaborates with Huawei to accelerate digital transformation of enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its business solutions arm, TM ONE, recently inked a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Huawei. This MoC is in pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TM and Huawei in March 2018 which outlined the various initiatives between the Parties to promote innovation, develop go-to-market strategies, enhance skills and capabilities as well as to improve each other's products and services. As both TM ONE and Huawei intend to play a more proactive developmental role in providing ready infrastructure and ecosystem to support the nation's growth, specifically to further address digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia, this collaboration would allow both companies to further accelerate the upcoming digital transformation era amongst Malaysians by leveraging on the combined strengths and capabilities of each other.
The MoC was signed by both companies during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dato' Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM said, "We are excited to be working hand in hand with a leading global name such as Huawei in a strategic partnership programme aimed at addressing the digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sector in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Tian Feng, the member of Huawei Supervisory Board/Senior Vice President said: "Today collaboration between TM ONE and Huawei is further deepened on the basis of last year strategy partnership MoU, and it will help both companies to advance into the future. This collaboration is based on long-term mutual trust between the two organisations and more importantly, complement technology capabilities and strategy for both parties in the enterprise business market. Huawei is confident that it can leverage its advanced technologies such as cloud computing, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoTs), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to complement TM ONE's venture into the market.
Under the MoC, both parties agreed to jointly promote cooperation through a possible joint account planning and mapping exercise of available opportunities, future joint solutioning as well as joint creation of customer value proposition. The focus will be on enterprise segments such as Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Public Sector, Education, Manufacturing, Commercial and/or Real Estate in the areas of, amongst other, Cloud, Network, Storage, High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things (IoTs) and Software Defined Network.

TM One will provide operational security capabilities for monitoring and incident response, while SIRIM Academy will deliver professional certification programmes aligning with standards requirements and national frameworks. To ensure compliance, organisations can further leverage TM One’s Managed Security Services including its Security Operations Centre (SOC), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), and Threat Intelligence, which offers continuous protection. The agreement also facilitates joint go-to-market opportunities, with TM One or SIRIM Academy leading client engagements as needed. The collaboration was formally made through an exchange of documents between Shanti Jusnita Johari, TM One’s Executive Vice President, and Dr. Mohd Bakri bin Jali, SIRIM Academy’s Chief Executive Officer (Covering), symbolising the start of a shared commitment to advance Malaysia’s digital trust and governance. TM One Appointed Digital Infrastructure Strategic Partner For Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation
KUCHING, 27 October 2023 – TM One has been appointed as the preferred converged digital infrastructure strategic partner for the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC). Through this partnership, SDEC and TM One will collaborate to identify and implement digital solutions that will enable the aspirations tabled in the Sarawak Digital Economy Strategy and Post Covid Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, spurring the growth of Sarawak’s digital economy, digital society and digital government. This joint initiative aims to increase access and adoption of digital services in Sarawak, bridging the digital divide and empowering greater digital inclusivity among all Sarawakians. TM One Smart Healthcare solutions to enhance digital patient experience at Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care
Malaysia’s first healthcare provider to leverage TM One Smart Patient Suite solution TM One, the enterprise and government sector solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (“RSDH”) to collaborate on Smart Healthcare and other business solutions for the RSDH group of hospitals. The MoU was signed by Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President of TM One, and Peter Hong, Group Chief Executive Officer, RSDH. Aimed at improving patient experience and enabling innovative transformation for essential in-patient services, the collaboration marks the first in Malaysia to leverage TM One’s Smart Patient Suite solution, by harnessing the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide automation and surround control. Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President, TM One said, “We are honoured to be working with RSDH to serve as the enabler of their next advantage today and tomorrow, bringing Malaysian healthcare and digital progress for all. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), will empower healthcare providers with data and analytics to improve the quality of patient care while maximising operational efficiency,” added Shazurawati. This two-year collaboration with RSDH follows the launch of TM One’s Sphere Programme, which brings together Malaysia’s leading technology and smart solution partners to create an ecosystem that will help springboard enterprise and government sector innovative transformation.
