TM and NCT Group Expand Partnership to Deliver Smart, Sustainable Industrial Parks Across Malaysia
Selangor, September 17, 2025 – Telekom Malaysia (TM), via its enterprise and government solutions arm TM One, and NCT Group of Companies (NCT Group), through its wholly owned subsidiary NCT AI Sdn Bhd, have signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) to extend smart industrial park solutions nationwide.
Building on their 2022 agreement for the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor, this expanded partnership will see TM deliver not only advanced connectivity, but also smart solutions, cloud, and ICT services to modernise NCT’s operations and enhance customer experiences across its wider developments, including NCT Innosphere within the Delapan Special Border Economic Zone in Kedah and the Group’s corporate headquarters.
Together, NCT and TM will also co-develop go-to-market strategies to position NCT’s Smart Industrial Parks as future-ready investment hubs, attracting global and local industries, and replicating the model across Malaysia to drive economic growth, sustainability and digital adoption.
The MoC was formalised at the Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025 between Simon Chan, NCT Group’s General Manager of Sales & Marketing and Megawati Norhashim, TM One’s Vice President for Enterprise Business, and witnessed by Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy, NCT Group’s Founder & Group Managing Director, TM’s Members of the Board Datuk Bazlan Osman and Dr. Tunku Alina Raja Muhd Alias, together with Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, TM’s Group CEO.

TM One and Digital Johor empower Johor with JASS smart application
New digital platform for Johor towards achieving the State’s aspiration of ‘Bangsa Johor Bestari, Ke Arah Kehidupan Lestari’ Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through TM One, its enterprise and public sector business solutions arm together with Digital Johor Sdn Bhd (Digital Johor), a subsidiary of Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd, today officially launched ‘Jendela Aplikasi Servis dan Solusi’ (JASS) smart application towards realising the State Government’s initiatives of Digitalising Johor. The mobile application was launched in conjunction with the opening ceremony of Johor International Islamic and Halal Festival 2019 held at Persada International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru, Johor. The opening ceremony of Johor International Islamic and Halal Festival 2019 and the launch of JASS was graced by YAB Dato’ Haji Osman Haji Sapian, Chief Minister of Johor. In addition, JASS also provides opportunities for local entrepreneurs to place their applications in the platform which will help them to penetrate local markets and beyond. Meanwhile, Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam said, “JASS is expected to attract the halal industry players to participate in promoting their products and services on the digital platform in conjunction with the Johor International Islamic and Halal Festival 2019. This collaboration between Digital Johor and TM is one of the initiatives undertaken to fulfill the aspirations of the ‘Bangsa Johor Bestari, Ke Arah Kehidupan Lestari’ in line with the fourth thrust of the Johor Sustainable Development Plan 2019-2030 namely Commercial Zone and Digital Community Drivers.” JASS smart application hub features eight (8) categories of applications and services which include Government Agencies Applications, Leisure and Lifestyle, Business and Information Directory, Direct Communication Channel, E-Wallet, Public Services, Education and Promotional Offers. Employees of TM at Menara TM One, Damansara and Kepayan, Kota Kinabalu tested positive for Covid-19
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) confirms two (2) positive cases of Covid-19 amongst its employees. One of the affected employees is based at Menara TM One in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and the other is at its Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Both employees are currently under quarantine and receiving treatment at Government quarantine and medical facilities. TM management and staff are together praying for their speedy recovery. TM has taken proactive measures to mitigate further spread of the virus and keep our customers, staff and communities safe. At Menara TM One, all occupants were immediately evacuated and the office building closed for seven (7) days to facilitate thorough disinfection and sanitisation in accordance to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH). TM offices in Sabah, Kedah and other Red Zone areas had been closed much earlier as proactive precaution in correspondence to the increasing cases recently. Following these two new positive cases, detailed contact tracing is being carried out by the MoH, assisted by TM's COVID-19 Crisis Response Team (CRT), to identify and inform those whom had close contact with the affected employees. Identified close contacts are being contacted by MoH for further advice and action. In ensuring continued services to our customers, TM employees at the affected states and areas have reverted back to Work From Home (WFH) arrangement utilising digital channels and online productivity tools. Meanwhile, critical function employees (contact centre, field teams for service installation and restoration) shall continue working in compliance to Government and TM's added safety protocols and guidelines. TM would like to remind everyone at all times to keep safe social distance, hygiene and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as advised by the Government. TM has taken and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and community.
TM ANNOUNCES SOVEREIGN GPU-AS-ASERVICE TO EMPOWER MALAYSIA’S AI ASPIRATIONS
