Unifi Brings 5g Excitement and Immersive Experience to Communities in Klang Valley at the uni5g #Liveunstoppable Event
Unifi, the nation’s leader in converged fixed broadband, mobile, and lifestyle services, has today launched its UNI5G #LIVEUNSTOPPABLE event at Pavilion, Bukit Bintang.
Running from 19 to 21 May 2023, the event showcases 5G’s capabilities in delivering greater connectivity and empowering limitless opportunities in education, work, entertainment, music, gaming, and so much more.
The event will include not-to-be-missed opportunities for visitors to interact and learn from some of Malaysia’s favourite influencers such as Elizabeth Tan (on 19 May), MK Clique and Noki (on 20 May), and Vokey (on 21 May). They will also get to participate in UNI5G’s unique content creation experience by taking 3D video footage of themselves, with selected participants having the once-in-a-lifetime chance to be featured on the Pavilion Elite 3D LED Screen located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Visitors could also win tickets to upcoming Liga Malaysia football matches, the latest Samsung Galaxy S23+ mobile phones, and limited UNI5G football jerseys, when they participate in Unifi’s TikTok #UnstoppableRap challenge, join in the longest #UnstoppablePlaylist on Spotify, and take part in other exciting activities.

New and existing customers will be able to subscribe to the newly launched UNI5G Postpaid 89 Plan at the event, which comes with unlimited 4G & 5G data and unlimited calls. The Plan includes the option to own a brand new 5G smartphone with savings of up to RM1, 500, and the UNI5G Supplementary Plan as an add-on for only RM39 per line per month.
Priced below RM90 a month, Unifi’s UNI5G Postpaid Plan is one of the most comprehensive and value-for-money plans with unlimited 4G & 5G data, smartphone bundles and supplementary lines currently available in the market.
Prepaid users can also access UNI5G Prepaid Plans, including monthly unlimited 4G + 5G data for as low as RM35, with a chance to win tickets to Liga Malaysia football matches when they activate their new UNI5G Prepaid sim pack.

Op Selamat to ensure a safer Raya celebration for all
TM remains committed to work closely with enforcement agencies in ensuring the welfare and well-being of the community Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) today launched Op Selamat 18/2022 to promote a safer and joyous celebration this upcoming Hari Raya for all Malaysians nationwide. Entering into its 18th edition, this year's campaign is aptly themed "Rumah Selamat, Selamat Sampai ke Destinasi" (Safe Home, Safe Journey), with the aim of increasing public awareness on road safety and home security during festivities. Op Selamat will be running for 10 days, from 29 April until 8 May 2022. This marks the 23rd collaboration between TM and PDRM on this campaign, the last being in 2019 before the pandemic hit. This is part of the long-standing strategic partnership that TM has established with PDRM, including the MERS999 emergency hotline, the anti-telecommunications cable theft efforts, and the Secured Mobile Services platform used for enforcement operations. The campaign was launched at Menara TM by Datuk Razarudin Husain, the Deputy Inspector General of Police. He also flagged off the 'Traffic Monitoring Team' and a convoy of motorcyclists and cars, symbolically highlighting the campaign's message of road and home safety. Also present at the event were CP Datuk Wira Mat Kasim Karim, Director of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT); CP Datuk Aidi Ismail, Director of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK); Tan Sri Mohammed Azlan Hashim, Chairman of TM; Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM; senior management of TM Group, police officers of various ranks as well as officers from various government agencies such as Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO). In his opening speech, Tan Sri Mohammed Azlan said, "TM is committed and always ready to work hand-in-hand with PDRM and other law enforcement agencies in ensuring the security and well-being of the community. This year, once again we continue our long-standing collaboration with PDRM on this noble effort. This campaign reflects our unwavering support towards the Government's initiatives to reduce road mishaps and improve home safety during festive seasons. "The safety of road users and their homes are of utmost importance during festivities. This is the key message we want to spread to the public, and we urge everyone to stay alert on the road and vigilant at home," he added. For this year's campaign, TM is contributing various necessities for the 15 Op Selamat operation centres nationwide, including campaign advocacy and materials such as leaflets and stickers that will be distributed to road users.
LAPSE OF CONDITIONS PRECEDENT LONGSTOP DATE FOR THE SHARE SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT WITH DIGITAL NASIONAL BERHAD
On 10 May 2023, TM filed a Bursa Announcement to notify that the longstop date to fulfil all conditions precedent in the Share Subscription Agreement (SSA) for the subscription of a 20% equity stake in Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) had lapsed. Consequently, TM issued a termination notice to DNB, effective immediately. Nonetheless, TM looks forward to the next process and discussion with the Government and the industry on 5G participation across Phase 1 (towards 80% service coverage by DNB) and Phase 2 (shift to two networks), as announced by the Government on 3 May 2023. TM is committed to continue playing an active role in the 5G implementation, leveraging its nationwide fibre infrastructure, extensive digital platforms (data centre, edge nodes) and rollout experience. In the meantime, TM customers of Unifi Mobile and TM One will continue to enjoy 5G services and solutions, as the 5G wholesale Access Agreement remains in place. TM is committed to serve as the nation’s trusted partner to grow Malaysia’s overall connectivity and digital ecosystem, including 5G. TM Wins Big at PC.Com Awards 2023
TM continued to solidify its position as Malaysia’s most trusted converged telco and technology company, when it was recognised with four (4) main awards at PC.com Awards 2023 held recently, including CEO of the Year award, won by its Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Imri Mokhtar, making the night a special and memorable one for the Company. The other three (3) awards included “Best Fixed Broadband Service Provider” by Unifi, Unifi Business secured “Best Business Fixed Broadband Service Provider” and “Best Enterprise Telco” went to TM One. Present to receive the awards on behalf of TM were Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President, TM One; Anand Vijayan, Executive Vice President, Unifi; and Ts. Mohamad Yusman Ammeran, Head of SME, Unifi Business, along with the CEO of the Year award winner Datuk Imri Mokhtar. When accepting the CEO of the Year award, Datuk Imri said: “I am receiving this award on behalf of our 19,000 strong Warga TM nationwide. This award truly belongs to all Warga TM. Your camaraderie and your commitment is an inspiration to me and to everyone. “I would like to extend our utmost appreciation to all our customers - our home, SME and enterprise customers - for your trust in TM to serve your needs. A special appreciation also goes to our delivery ecosystem, including our partners. Without all of you, we couldn't have achieved what we have achieved, and we couldn’t overcome the obstacles that we had overcome.
