As the one and only brand in Malaysia that offers a truly converged broadband services to Malaysians nationwide, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today reiterates its appreciation for the contributions of Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) to the nation with the extension of its unifi Mobile ‘JASA’ Pack to all PDRM officers and staff.

The specially priced unifi Mobile plan was launched by Datuk Bazlan Osman, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, TM and Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun, the Inspector General of Police. Also present were other police officers and PDRM staff of various ranks.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Datuk Bazlan said, “We are happy to further extend our unifi Mobile ‘JASA’ Pack plan, a specially priced plan now available for all PDRM officers across all ranks. The offering of this special package is to appreciate their sacrifices for and contributions towards the country and a reflection of our unwavering support towards uniformed bodies such as PDRM. This ‘JASA’ Pack plan offers a converged broadband services and enable them to enjoy unlimited data, calls and SMS via unifi Mobile at an affordable price for their daily communication needs; it is a perfect plan for their digital lifestyle, true to our brand promise, “Life Made Easier”.”

“Over the years, TM has been working closely with PDRM for many successful initiatives towards enhancing the national security. For the past 21 years, TM is the main supporter for ‘Ops Selamat’ road and home safety campaign in reducing the road mishaps rate and to increase awareness on home safety and driving safety during festive season. We also work closely with PDRM on preventive measures via various collaborative activities. Leveraging on our extensive connectivity, collective expertise and experience over 30 years of managing various call centres, we are committed to play an important role in the public safety area towards delivering enhanced emergency services. This is to ensure that members of the public are able to reach any of the emergency agencies during emergency situations. This is in line with our aspiration to become the Government’s trusted ICT partner,” he elaborated.

The unifi Mobile ‘JASA’ Pack is available to all PDRM officers and staff who are existing or new unifi and Streamyx subscribers. Specially priced at only RM59 per month, unifi Mobile ‘JASA’ Pack can be subscribed at all TMpoint outlets nationwide and subscribers can enjoy unlimited data, calls and SMS with no contract. The plan can be subscribed with a new mobile number or by maintaining the existing mobile number via port in. The unifi Mobile ‘JASA’ pack special promotion for PDRM officers is available for subscription until 31 March 2019 and a PDRM staff ID will be required as verification document during the registration process.

Initially, earlier this year, TM launched the similar package of unifi Mobile ‘JASA Pack’ plan for teachers and officers under the Ministry of Education.

UNIFI MOBILE OFFERS 30K FREE SIM CARDS FOR MALAYSIAN PILGRIMS FULFILLING THEIR HAJJ

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 MAY 2024 – Unifi Mobile is offering free prepaid SIM cards to 30,000 pilgrims as well as Tabung Haji staff and volunteers for the 2024 Hajj season. This initiative is part of the Sahabat Korporat TH 2024 programme, through which TM supports Tabung Haji via connectivity and digital value-added services for pilgrims fulfilling their spiritual obligations.  Through this programme, those performing the Hajj in 2024 are eligible to receive the Unifi Mobile SIM card as part of its Middle East Pass offering. unifi tapping into youth minds to deliver more #khabarbaik

Aimed at improving customer experience directly, unifi gathers ideas from the best talents through its first-ever Hackathon unifi, the premier Convergence brand under Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), stays true to its #khabarbaik spirit, organised its first ever hackathon to tap into the young creative talents to create brilliant ideas to resolve pain points and enhance the service experience of unifi customers. The 24-hour, non-stop hackathon challenge was successfully organised at Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya recently with over 110 local and foreign talented students from 13 public as well as private universities nationwide. Harnessing creative brains to create innovative solutions for unifi unifi’s call for creative genius among the university students in this hackathon received participation from a total of 27 teams from various local universities. The participants were in groups of three (3) to five (5) members with different backgrounds of expertise from coders, hackers to designers came together to pit against each other and build innovative and practical digital solutions within 24 hours. The teams were tasked to ideate and develop innovative digital solutions, which can be adopted and implemented by unifi. Moharmustaqeem Mohammed, Acting Executive Vice President, unifi, attended the event and spent time getting to know the participants closer. He also shared his experience and aspirations for the event when he commented, “As an integrated telco and the enabler of Malaysia’s digital aspirations, unifi is always listening and looking for ways to improve our services and processes so we can serve Malaysians better. We are committed to bringing #khabarbaik to address our customers’ pain points and what better way to do so than through the best young talents who are also our customers. The judging was based on their abilities to build exciting digital solutions aimed at enhancing unifi customer experience. The key winning factors include innovation, originality and design whilst measuring the technical ability of each team.  The 3 Grand Winners for unifi Hackathon 2019 after much deliberation were Fast Data team from Asia Pacific University; Green Phoenix team from University of Malaya and Taylor’s University; and RGB team from University of Malaya.
