Our journey thus far

Starting Small
Started as the Scholarship Administration unit within the Human Resources department in November 1990.
1993

Growing bigger
The Scholarship Administration unit got extended from a unit into a division.
1994

The birth of Yayasan TM
On 10th November 1994, Yayasan TM (YTM) was formally formed under the Trustee Act 1949, focussing on sending scholars to prestigious universities.
2007

Going official
On 29th January 2007, YTM was fully incorporated and known as “The Board of Trustees of Yayasan Telekom Malaysia, Registered.”

Making a real change
To date, more than RM583 million has been disbursed towards education, development programs and various donations; it’s benefitted more than 16,000 parties.

Complete transformation
As of 2021, we increased YTM’s scope into a more social impact-based foundation, focusing on our 3 pillars.
