KUALA LUMPUR, 2 September 2026 – In conjunction with the 2026 Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia celebrations (HKHM), and as part of TM’s 80th anniversary, Unifi TV, the digital lifestyle arm of Unifi, will offer its full suite of 73 premium channels – including its exclusive HBO and Cinemax channels – free to all Malaysians at no cost, from 31 August to 30 September 2026.
This free access is open to everyone in Malaysia, including non-Unifi customers. New users need only sign up with an email address, with no payment or subscription required. The channels can be streamed on compatible Smart TVs, mobile phones, tablets or Android TV boxes via Unifi TV 2.0 app. This is part of Unifi's continuing efforts to make digital lifestyle services accessible to all communities.
Viewers will enjoy free access to channels spanning Malaysian favourites, blockbuster movies, entertainment, sports, kids' programming, news, lifestyle and learning. Audiences can look forward to a diverse line-up of titles, including the Unifi TV Original: Bisikan Pontianak on DEGUP; Lanterns on HBO; the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards live on HITS NOW; the MotoGP San Marino Grand Prix and Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d'Italia 2026, live on SPOTV and beIN SPORTS; as well as The Shadow's Edge on Celestial Movies and Gangubai Kathiawadi on ZEE Cinema.
Beyond the HKHM celebration, Unifi TV will extend its access through a new free offering of 22 channels available from 1 October 2026 onwards. This comprises the existing 16 free-to-air channels as well as six additional premium channels: DEGUP HD, Dunia Sinema HD, Sensasi HD, Inspirasi HD, Pesona HD and Al Jazeera.
Viewers will automatically enjoy these 22 complimentary channels after the HKHM promotion concludes, with no cancellation or re-registration needed. Premiering exclusively in October onwards, viewers can enjoy the star-studded Unifi TV Original series on DEGUP channel like Nak Dengar Cerita Hantu Season 2 starring Que Haidar, Zizan Razak and many more; and Secret Book Club with Tiz Zaqyah, Zahiril Adzim as the main cast; among many others.
