TM collaborates with Malaysia telecommunications tower providers for access to tower sites facilities
The strategic collaboration affirms TM’s commitment and readiness to drive Malaysia’s Digital Economy aspirations as the national digital infrastructure accelerator
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) marked another milestone as the national connectivity and digital infrastructure provider when its wholesale domestic and international business arm, TM WHOLESALE, entered into a collaboration with nine (9) tower providers (TowerCos), enabling access to tower sites facilities.
The nine (9) TowerCos are the members of Persatuan Penyedia Infrastruktur Telekomunikasi (PPIT), namely D'Harmoni Telco Infra Sdn Bhd, Melaka ICT Holdings Sdn Bhd, Perlis Comm Sdn Bhd, Infra Quest Sdn Bhd, Perak Integrated Network Services Sdn Bhd, EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd, PDC Telecommunication Services Sdn Bhd, Desabina Industries Sdn Bhd and Yiked Bina Sdn Bhd.
The ceremony was held recently in Johor Bahru attended by TM and nine (9) other TowerCos. TM was represented by Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Executive Vice President, TM WHOLESALE, while the TowerCos were represented by:

Under the collaboration, the nine (9) TowerCos will provide TM with access to their tower sites, including land and rooftop facilities. This will enable TM to connect the towers with its high-speed fibre optic network to support high quality network performance and capability.
Commenting on the collaboration, Amar Huzaimi said, "TM through TM WHOLESALE, is committed to ensuring our national telecommunication industry is provided with cutting edge connectivity and extensive fibre infrastructure solutions as a catalyst to accelerate the delivery of a high quality digital experience to all Malaysians, true to our role as national digital infrastructure accelerator. This will allow service providers to serve their customers with faster connectivity speed and greater bandwidth capacity for the current 4G and future 5G services nationwide. This partnership further demonstrates our commitment as the enabler of Digital Malaysia in supporting the country's digital aspirations, which include the Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL)."
Meanwhile, Dato' Hj Mohd Rehat said, "TM has been a long-standing partner of PPIT for over a decade, and together, we have developed a high level of trust among each other. After a few series of fruitful discussions, PPIT and TM have once again agreed to ink a new collaboration to continue to work hand-in-hand in respect of the access to tower sites facilities."

TM GLOBAL EXPANDS DATA CENTRES IN CYBERJAYA AND JOHOR TO STRENGTHEN NATION’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
KUALA LUMPUR, 11 NOVEMBER 2024 – TM Global, TM’s wholesale business arm, will expand its Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) in Cyberjaya and Iskandar Puteri Data Centre (IPDC) in Johor, addressing the growing demand for domestic and international data hosting services. This is the next phase in TM’s strategic roadmap to grow its infrastructure ecosystem and position Malaysia as a preferred digital hub in Southeast Asia, aligning with its aspiration to become a Digital Powerhouse by 2030. These expansions and TM’s partnership with Nxera to develop a new, hyperconnected, AI-ready data centre, lays the foundation for digital services such as cloud, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. Scheduled for commercial operations in 2025, the second phase of both KVDC and IPDC will deliver a combined IT load of about 20MW. The expansion will meet Uptime Institute’s Tier-III standards, and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating for long-term sustainability, a globally recognised green building certification. Khairul Liza Ibrahim, TM Global’s Executive Vice President, said, “KVDC and IPDC are integral infrastructures in Malaysia’s digital ecosystem, serving as international gateways and interconnected points to support 5G networks. This second phase of our data centre expansion will feature sustainable designs, boosting our capacity to support hyperscalers, OTT players, cloud and next generation AI providers, as well as enterprises.” TM Global’s data centres are complemented by seven regional Edge Facilities located throughout the country. These support high-performance computing and co-location services to bring content closer to end-users with minimal latency. “We have further enhanced our data hosting services with a recent acquisition of the Facilities-based Operator license in Singapore, allowing us to provide seamless, secure data centre-to-data centre connectivity through our extensive domestic fibre optics network and international submarine cable systems. This enables us to meet the growing connectivity demands across the region, linking data centres from Thailand to Malaysia, Singapore, and Batam in Indonesia,” Khairul Liza emphasised. TM Global offers a comprehensive suite of platform-based services, including Multi-Edge Computing and Content Delivery, to elevate data hosting solutions. These services are tailored to optimise performance and efficiency, ensuring a robust and reliable data-driven network for customers. TM Adopts 35 Schools Under Sekolah Angkat Malaysia MADANI, Strengthening Commitment to Nation Building
KUALA LUMPUR, 21 August 2025 – Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM” or “the Group”), through its foundation arm, Yayasan TM (YTM), has strengthened its commitment to nation building by adopting 35 schools under the Government’s Sekolah Angkat Malaysia MADANI initiative. Spanning across the country, particularly in remote and underserved areas, the initiative is driven by the Group’s greater purpose to empower future talents and build a more inclusive future through education and technology. At the heart of this initiative is TM Future Skills (TMFS) programme, designed to enhance digital skills among students from B40 or low-income families by integrating digital technologies into their learning experiences. Under the programme, selected “nucleus” schools will be allocated with a digital hub aiming to spark students’ interest in digital exploration and STEM subjects. These hubs are equipped with resources such as PocketLab, robotics kits, 3D printers, drones, tablets and digital learning content. The 2025 TMFS curriculum has been further enhanced to include artificial intelligence (AI) and coding, aligned with the demands of Industry 4.0 and Malaysia’s future digital talents aspirations. TM Group Chief Executive Officer, Amar Huzaimi Md Deris said, “These schools will not only serve their own students but will also extend support and knowledge-sharing to neighbouring satellite schools. This strategic approach enables us to scale the impact of our efforts and reach far beyond the adopted schools themselves, with an estimated 65,000 students nationwide set to benefit from this initiative. “Since we introduced the TMFS programme in 2023, we have established three “nucleus” schools and positively impacted over 10,000 students and 1,000 teachers. Meanwhile, outstanding Form 4 and Form 5 students from these schools are also eligible for TM’s Young Leaders Scholarship, which serves as a platform to identify candidates for YTM’s Future Leaders Scholarship, offering full financial aid for tertiary studies. “We have always believed that education is the most powerful way to empower the future. TM Launches New HQ And Campus To Promote Collaboration And Foster Human-Centred Innovation
