TM catalyses data-driven transformation journey for Malaysian businesses with LEAP Summit 2018
Accelerating Digital Transformation Through Intelligence
TM ONE, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today organised its inaugural LEAP Summit 2018 with the theme – “Transformation Through Intelligence. Are You Ready?”. In line with the recently launched National Policy on Industry 4.0, known as Industry4WRD by the Prime Minister, the summit was aimed at providing a platform for the Enterprise and Public Sector segments to share their dynamic thoughts and experiences in the industry. The delegates also gained insights on how innovations in digitisation, analytics, artificial intelligence and automation can create vast opportunities for businesses, industry makers and the economy as the country takes the leap into becoming a digital nation.

Throughout the one (1) day event, delegates of LEAP Summit 2018 were able to discover perspectives on global trends, business innovation strategy, Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence and smart cities through talks and panel discussion by local and international experts. Most interestingly, the summit featured Vito Di Bari, the Futurist and the ‘New European Guru of Innovation’, who delivered the keynote address on “Navigate to Accelerate Your Business Transformation in the Digital Age”. Other industry experts include Ajay Sunder, ICT Vice President, Frost & Sullivan, Riad Asmat, Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia Berhad, Azlina Azman, Senior Deputy Director at the Research, Planning and Policy Division, Public Service Department (JPA) and Ir Ts. The distinguished group of industry speakers shared an in-depth understanding in digitisation, analytics, artificial intelligence and automation innovations that can help create a guided path for business leaders to embrace the digital revolution. This is hoped to benefit businesses that are already making headway with their digital business innovation to stay ahead and competitive in the business landscape that is being reformed by rapid technological advances.

TM ONE launched its state-of-the-art IPDC located in Nusajaya Technology Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor in November 2017. The Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) which is currently under construction is set to complete TM ONE’s ‘Twin Core’ and hybrid cloud strategy to enable businesses to realise the full potential of their digital opportunities. The KVDC will be ready for service by end of December 2018.

Employees of TM at Menara TM One, Damansara and Kepayan, Kota Kinabalu tested positive for Covid-19
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) confirms two (2) positive cases of Covid-19 amongst its employees. One of the affected employees is based at Menara TM One in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and the other is at its Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Both employees are currently under quarantine and receiving treatment at Government quarantine and medical facilities. TM management and staff are together praying for their speedy recovery. TM has taken proactive measures to mitigate further spread of the virus and keep our customers, staff and communities safe. At Menara TM One, all occupants were immediately evacuated and the office building closed for seven (7) days to facilitate thorough disinfection and sanitisation in accordance to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH). TM offices in Sabah, Kedah and other Red Zone areas had been closed much earlier as proactive precaution in correspondence to the increasing cases recently. Following these two new positive cases, detailed contact tracing is being carried out by the MoH, assisted by TM's COVID-19 Crisis Response Team (CRT), to identify and inform those whom had close contact with the affected employees. Identified close contacts are being contacted by MoH for further advice and action. In ensuring continued services to our customers, TM employees at the affected states and areas have reverted back to Work From Home (WFH) arrangement utilising digital channels and online productivity tools. Meanwhile, critical function employees (contact centre, field teams for service installation and restoration) shall continue working in compliance to Government and TM's added safety protocols and guidelines. TM would like to remind everyone at all times to keep safe social distance, hygiene and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as advised by the Government. TM has taken and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and community.
TM One Appointed Digital Infrastructure Strategic Partner For Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation
KUCHING, 27 October 2023 – TM One has been appointed as the preferred converged digital infrastructure strategic partner for the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC). Through this partnership, SDEC and TM One will collaborate to identify and implement digital solutions that will enable the aspirations tabled in the Sarawak Digital Economy Strategy and Post Covid Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, spurring the growth of Sarawak’s digital economy, digital society and digital government. This joint initiative aims to increase access and adoption of digital services in Sarawak, bridging the digital divide and empowering greater digital inclusivity among all Sarawakians. Leveraging its managed networking services, TM One will power the Sarawak Multimedia Authority Rural Telecommunication (SMART) project for rural and underserved communities. Through this collaboration, approximately 1,500 units of residences in Gamuda Gardens will enjoy a 2-year complimentary unifi high speed internet service of 100Mbps; which will be upgraded to a higher bandwidth upon vacant possession (VP) of their homes.
