TM catalyses data-driven transformation journey for Malaysian businesses with LEAP Summit 2018

TM ONE, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today organised its inaugural LEAP Summit 2018 with the theme – “Transformation Through Intelligence. Are You Ready?”. In line with the recently launched National Policy on Industry 4.0, known as Industry4WRD by the Prime Minister, the summit was aimed at providing a platform for the Enterprise and Public Sector segments to share their dynamic thoughts and experiences in the industry. The delegates also gained insights on how innovations in digitisation, analytics, artificial intelligence and automation can create vast opportunities for businesses, industry makers and the economy as the country takes the leap into becoming a digital nation.

Throughout the one (1) day event, delegates of LEAP Summit 2018 were able to discover perspectives on global trends, business innovation strategy, Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence and smart cities through talks and panel discussion by local and international experts. Most interestingly, the summit featured Vito Di Bari, the Futurist and the ‘New European Guru of Innovation’, who delivered the keynote address on “Navigate to Accelerate Your Business Transformation in the Digital Age”. TM ONE launched its state-of-the-art IPDC located in Nusajaya Technology Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor in November 2017. The Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) which is currently under construction is set to complete TM ONE’s ‘Twin Core’ and hybrid cloud strategy to enable businesses to realise the full potential of their digital opportunities. The KVDC will be ready for service by end of December 2018.

TM and Cybersecurity Malaysia join forces to strengthen national cyberspace resilience
Both companies will leverage each other’s expertise, technical capabilities and global best practices to create a safer and more robust cyber ecosystem. Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) via its enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, TM ONE, today sealed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with CyberSecurity Malaysia, the national cybersecurity specialist agency under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM), to empower and strengthen the level of cybersecurity in Malaysia. The MoC was signed in a virtual event by Dato' Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab FASc, Chief Executive Officer, CyberSecurity Malaysia and Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), TM. The ceremony was witnessed by General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed (Retired) Chairman of the Board of Directors, CyberSecurity Malaysia and Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Bakke Salleh, Chairman of TM. The event was also graced by the presence of YB Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia. KUALA LUMPUR, 30 October 2024 – TM One, TM’s enterprise and Government sector business solutions arm, has announced a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education (MOE) to enhance Malaysia’s digital competencies, equipping students and educators from vocational colleges and secondary schools with essential digital skills that align with industry standards. The partnership, which was recently formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MOE’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Division, targets critical areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, and smart agriculture solutions.
