Minister of Communications and Multimedia pays a visit to the heart of the Nation’s Network Operations
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) was greatly honoured to receive an official visit by the Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo to TM Network Operation Centre (NOC) in Cyberjaya earlier today.
The Minister and his delegates were welcomed by Rosli Man, Chairman of TM, Imri Mokhtar, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, TM as well as TM Board members and TM senior management.
Commenting on the visit, Rosli said, “TM is indeed honoured to have YB Tuan Gobind and his delegates from the Ministry with us here. This engagement, which marks the Minister’s inaugural visit to a TM’s premise, is particularly meaningful as this is the heart of the nation’s network operations. It allows us to enlighten him on TM’s pivotal roles towards delivering seamless connectivity to all Malaysians. It also provides YB Tuan Gobind with an opportunity to engage and interact with our network team members, particularly at this NOC who are the backbone of our network operations. We look forward to welcoming him back to our headquarters in Menara TM for an engagement session with our Warga TM soon.”
As part of the visit, besides a briefing session on TM’s overall operations and its strategic roles in fulfilling the communications needs of Malaysians nationwide across all customer segments, the Minister was also taken for a tour around the TM NOC premise to enlighten him and his delegates on the network monitoring systems.
It is hoped that this maiden engagement session will pave the way for more continuous collaborations between TM and the Ministry as well as the MCMC towards supporting the development of Malaysia’s digital economy.

Warga TM welcomes Minister of Communications and Multimedia for inaugural official visit to TM headquarters
The Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo today made his first official visit to Menara TM, the headquarters of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM). Over 1,000 Warga TM, together with Rosli Man, Chairman of TM, Imri Mokhtar, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, TM as well as TM Board members and TM senior management were present to give a warm welcome to the Minister and his delegates. During his engagement session with Warga TM, YB Tuan Gobind shared his aspirations for the telecommunications industry and how TM can play its pivotal role in the development of Malaysia's digital economy. At the session, the Minister also interacted with other Warga TM who joined the session from their respective state and regional offices, including in Jakarta via TM's state-of-the-art High Definition TelePresence conferencing facilities. Meanwhile, the rest of over 20,000 Warga TM who were unable to join the session had the chance to virtually witness the session via a live streaming broadcast. Commenting on the visit, Rosli said, "TM is greatly honoured to receive YB Tuan Gobind and his delegates from the Ministry and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) at our own headquarters, Menara TM. This visit is just over a month after the Minister came to our Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Cyberjaya, which serves as the heart of the nation's network operations. Today, we are excited to see YB Tuan Gobind coming to our doors, to share his vision of the industry and engage with our Warga TM up close and personal. We hope the warm welcome and show of support that YB Tuan Gobind received from our Warga TM today will pave the way for more continuous collaborations between TM and the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia towards the betterment of the telecommunications industry." Meanwhile, in addressing Warga TM, YB Tuan Gobind said, "I understand TM has a huge and unique mandate not only as the Convergence Champion, but also a partner in nation-building towards developing the nation's digital economy. Leveraging on its extensive global connectivity, network infrastructure and collective expertise, TM is well positioned to propel Malaysia into a regional Internet hub and digital gateway for South-East Asia. In this respect, I commend TM's continued effort in answering the Government's call to champion convergence and deliver the Digital Nation aspirations. I am also confident that the TM's transformation, anchored on customer centricity that puts customers as the utmost priority, will bring the results in with the strong support from the management and every Warga TM." What made it even more special, in line with the Company's renewed pledge on customer centricity and in conjunction with the visit, YB Tuan Gobind also presented HERO of the Year Awards 2018 for three (3) categories – Frontliners, Unsung Heroes and Special Awards. These awards are well-deserved recognitions for Warga TM who embodied the Company's internal KRISTAL values namely Total Commitment to Customers, Uncompromising Integrity and Respect & Care. The award winners were selected based on their outstanding contributions in going the extra mile to serve and to make life easier for TM customers. Winners for the Frontliners' category were chosen amongst Warga TM serving TM's customer touchpoints; the Unsung Heroes' category honoured employees who contributed beyond their job scope regardless of the divisions they are serving; while the Special Awards were specifically dedicated to persons with disabilities (PWD) who excelled in their performance and live up the Life Made Easier promise to TM customers. The recognitions are testament of TM's continuous commitment to deliver an enhanced digital experience to Malaysians across all customer segments – consumer, SME, corporate enterprises and public sectors.
