Datuk Bazlan, 61, a Malaysian, was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) on 30 May 2024. He was previously the Executive Director of TM from 2008 until he left TM in February 2019. He joined TM in 2005 as the Group Chief Financial Officer and was appointed as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer in 2017. He later became the Acting Group CEO from June to November 2018. Prior to joining TM, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Celcom Malaysia Berhad.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He has held positions as President of MIA, Chair of ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee, Ex-Officio of Financial Reporting Foundation, and a member of the Issues Committee of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board.

Throughout his professional career, Datuk Bazlan has held positions in audit, accounting, and finance in public accounting firm as well as in companies largely in the telecommunications sector. He has attended the IMD Program for Senior Executives in 2008, the Strategic Leadership Program at the University of Oxford's SAID Business School in 2013, and the BNM FIDE ASB Program for Directors of Financial Institutions in 2020.

Datuk Bazlan currently serves on the board of several public listed companies, namely FIMA Corporation Berhad as an Independent Non-Executive Chairman and the Senior Independent Director at Bursa Malaysia Berhad. He is also the Chairman of TM Digital Innovation Sdn. Bhd. (Credence), a wholly owned subsidiary of TM.

Datuk Bazlan is the Chairman of Board Audit Committee and a Member of the Board Tender Committee.
