Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) confirms two (2) positive cases of Covid-19 amongst its employees. One of the affected employees is based at Menara TM One in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and the other is at its Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Both employees are currently under quarantine and receiving treatment at Government quarantine and medical facilities. TM management and staff are together praying for their speedy recovery.
TM has taken proactive measures to mitigate further spread of the virus and keep our customers, staff and communities safe. At Menara TM One, all occupants were immediately evacuated and the office building closed for seven (7) days to facilitate thorough disinfection and sanitisation in accordance to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH). TM offices in Sabah, Kedah and other Red Zone areas had been closed much earlier as proactive precaution in correspondence to the increasing cases recently.
Following these two new positive cases, detailed contact tracing is being carried out by the MoH, assisted by TM's COVID-19 Crisis Response Team (CRT), to identify and inform those whom had close contact with the affected employees. Identified close contacts are being contacted by MoH for further advice and action.
In ensuring continued services to our customers, TM employees at the affected states and areas have reverted back to Work From Home (WFH) arrangement utilising digital channels and online productivity tools. Meanwhile, critical function employees (contact centre, field teams for service installation and restoration) shall continue working in compliance to Government and TM's added safety protocols and guidelines.
TM would like to remind everyone at all times to keep safe social distance, hygiene and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as advised by the Government. TM has taken and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and community.

A good and reliable broadband access is highly critical in the "new normal". Five revolutionary #unificares initiatives unifi today announced five revolutionary initiatives to raise its game in CX. The 24-hour service restoration guarantee is among five new customer-focused initiatives under the #unificares campaign to enhance its broadband experience by reducing downtime to the absolute minimum. If unable to restore within 24 hours from complaint submission, customers will receive RM50 billing rebate compensation, redeemable via myunifi app within 30 days. It is the first of its kind in the local telecommunication industry and a commitment to its customer first strategy. This 24-hour service restoration guarantee starts 30 November 2021 and compensation eligibility is for customers subscribing to 100Mbps and above. Another innovation introduced with the campaign is unifi's Proactive Service Alert; an early detection and intervention system that ensures early notifications and speed of resolution to customers. Affected customers are alerted for restoration via SMS and the myunifi app push notification. Other customer-focused initiatives introduced in conjunction with the campaign are Easyfix self-serve tool, Service Tracker and unifi Elite experts. If an issue is unresolved, the Easyfix tool will automatically create a service ticket for immediate action by the unifi Care Crew or connect users to a unifi live chat agent for further assistance. Service Tracker allows customers to view and track status of service and technical requests in real-time including details of the assigned TM Care Crew, via the myunifi app. Users can easily access the Service Tracker under 'My Activity' from their Account page. unifi Elite is a group of WiFi experts who are specially trained to provide customers with tailor-made consultation and solutions to further enhance their connectivity experience at home or business premises. unifi's track record in CX is well-established. TM PLEDGES RM4 MILLION FOR FLOOD RELIEF AND RECOVERY EFFORTS
KUALA LUMPUR, 16 December 2024 – TM announced at least RM4 million allocation, including cash assistance, to support immediate flood relief efforts for affected customers, communities, and employees nationwide. This is in support of the Sumbangan Ihsan MADANI initiative, aimed at ensuring timely support for those in need. TM installed complimentary Wi-Fi services at various flood relief centres (PPS) to ensure uninterrupted communication for flood victims and PPS’ administration. At the same time, TM’s network restoration team is working tirelessly to restore services for customers impacted by the recent monsoon flood especially in the East Coast region. This involves efforts to immediately divert key network elements for infrastructure that have been destroyed by the flood to minimise service downtime for the Government, enterprises and consumers. TM understands the challenges faced by the flood victims. Therefore, to ease their hardship, TM is committed to provide additional supports for the affected Unifi Home customers which include: • Free replacement of damaged Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and network components, • A one (1) month subscription rebate for affected customers, and • An extension of credit terms to 60 days without service suspension. Through its social impact foundation, Yayasan TM (YTM) mobilised medical aid, food and other necessities with the support of its social impact partners. As Co-Secretariat and a member of the GLC/GLIC Disaster Response Network (GDRN) coalition, YTM assisted over 18,400 individuals via various initiatives including the MOF-GDRN Bantu Fund, to assist affected communities. Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM, emphasised the company’s dedication during this time of need. “We stand in solidarity with our customers, communities, and employees during these challenging times. To bolster our efforts, we have deployed the 56 Rejimen Semboyan Pakar Telekom Askar Wataniah, a team of TM volunteers, to provide on-ground assistance, deliver emergency services, and expedite restoration works. “TM is grateful to serve alongside the Ministry of Communications, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) and GDRN members in supporting collective efforts to assist communities in need. We extend our heartfelt thanks to these agencies and social impact partners for their dedication and collaboration in ensuring timely and effective support. “Through these partnerships, we supported more than 28,000 individuals via various disaster relief and preparedness programmes, ensuring faster distribution of aid across the country. We remain steadfast in our efforts to restore connectivity and essential telecommunications services and aiding recovery for those affected by the floods," concluded Amar. Earlier last week, Amar visited flood-affected areas in Kelantan and Terengganu, including the Central Disaster Operations Control Centre (PKOB) in Kota Bharu. During his visit, he handed over additional care packages to be stored at the control centre. These care packages will be mobilised to affected areas and distributed to the flood victims as needed. In support of its employees, TM launched an internal crowdfunding initiative to help provide affected Warga TM with essential home amenities, ensuring they could resume their daily lives as quickly as possible. This initiative aligns with TM's "Ini Cara Kita" culture statement, embodying the spirit of caring and togetherness. Additionally, TM extended financial aid to 131 Warga TM whose homes were damaged by the floods. Early flood aid and damage claims have already been disbursed, with further assistance underway. The company urges everyone to prioritise safety during this challenging season and remains committed to restoring essential services and aiding long-term recovery.

YAYASAN TM COLLABORATES WITH YAYASAN DIRAJA SULTAN MIZAN TO EMPOWER YOUTHS
KUALA LUMPUR, 22 September 2023 – Yayasan TM (YTM) and Yayasan Diraja Sultan Mizan (YDSM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower youth from the B40 socioeconomic group with vital digital entrepreneurship skills for them to thrive and compete in the digital market space. The programme costing approximately RM400,000 is shared between YTM, YDSM and Multimedia University (MMU). The collaboration also involved other parties namely Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). The signing of the MoU was graced by the esteemed presence of Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Al-Wathiqu Billah, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin. Dato’ Zainal Abidin Putih, Chairman of YTM said, “Through their involvement in the Siswazah Usahawan Digital Terengganu (SISDIT) programme, the participants can acquire holistic entrepreneurship skills and knowledge while earning them the globally acknowledged digital qualification, International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) Digital Marketing Certification to complete their skill sets. These would greatly benefit them as they enter the job market. YTM remains committed in its efforts to support the nation-building agenda of promoting socioeconomic development among the underserved communities.” YTM was represented by Dato’ Zainal Abidin, while signing on behalf of YDSM was its Board of Trustee member, Dato’ Dr Che Ab Rahim Nik. We hope their success through this programme will encourage their youth peers to take chances and unleash their full potential for a more sustainable living,” Dato’ Zainal Abidin concluded. To date, YTM’s entrepreneurship-related endeavours, including SISDIT, have benefited over 300 entrepreneurs and created new businesses opportunities for marginalised communities, including B40, asnaf and women, nationwide.
