Dr. Dzaharudin, age 64, a Malaysian, was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of TM on 1 September 2026.

He holds a BEng (First Class) from Monash University and a PhD in Mathematical and Information Science from the La Trobe University from Australia. He is also a Senior Member, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a Member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Dr. Dzaharudin is an independent board director and senior technology executive with more than 40 years of leadership experience spanning telecommunications operators, hyperscale cloud providers, national innovation bodies, and global technology companies. He is widely recognised for his expertise in digital infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), technology governance, and regulatory engagement.

He previously served as National Technology Officer at Microsoft and most recently as Country Head of Compliance and Security Assurance, in several ASEAN countries, at Amazon Web Services. Throughout his career, he has advised boards, regulators, and government agencies on national digital transformation initiatives, AI governance, cybersecurity strategies, cloud adoption, and systemic technology risk management.

He brings to the Board expertise in technology and digital strategy oversight, telecommunications and network infrastructure, cybersecurity and AI governance, regulatory affairs, innovation management, and responsible technology stewardship. His ability to translate complex technological and security challenges into strategic business decisions enables boards to navigate transformation, manage risk, and create sustainable long-term value as well as societal trust.

Dr. Dzaharudin is also an advisor to Persatuan Industri Komputer dan Multimedia Malaysia (PIKOM) and a member of the Board of Governors at Kolej Yayasan Saad.

He is a Member of Board Tender Committee and Board Risk and Investment Committee.
