Independent Non-Executive Director

Datuk Siti Zauyah, aged 66, a Malaysian, was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of TM on 10 June 2020. 

She holds a Master of Business Administration (International Banking) from the University of Manchester, a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading, and a Diploma in Public Administration from INTAN. She also completed the Oxford High Performance Leadership Programme at Said Business School, University of Oxford.

Datuk Siti Zauyah began her career in civil service in 1982 as a Quantity Surveyor with the Public Works Department. She later moved on to hold several other positions at a higher learning institution and several private sectors before pursuing her Diploma in Public Administration at INTAN. Upon completing her masters, she served as Assistant Secretary with the Tax Division and Finance Division at MoF until her promotion in 2001 as Principal Assistant Secretary.

She was later seconded to the Asian Development Bank, Manila as Director’s Advisor from 2003 until August 2006. Thereafter in April 2008, she served MoF in the Loans Management Division and was appointed as the Deputy Secretary (Economy, Public Transportation and Infrastructure), Investment, MoF Inc and Privatisation Division. She was promoted as Secretary, Loan Management Division in November 2012 and later as Secretary, Government Investment Company Division on 13 January 2014. Later, she served as Director of National Budget, National Budget Office from 12 December 2014 until 1 February 2016, before appointed as Deputy Secretary General (Policy) from 2 February 2016 until her retirement on 13 November 2019.

Datuk Siti Zauyah is a member of the Board Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board Tender Committee. She also serves as a director in several listed and non-listed companies. She is the chairperson of GITN Sdn Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TM.
