Online Help

Your guide to our services, from product and billing information to online supplier system, for both customer and business.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to alert our unifi customers that the D-Link DIR-850L wireless router provided to some users was found to have some security vulnerabilities.

We have analysed the vulnerabilities and wish to highlight that only a small number of our customers are affected as the remote management function in the current D-Link DIR-850L router supplied by TM is disabled by default.

The supplier of the router, D-Link will be issuing a firmware update on 21 September 2017 to patch up the vulnerabilities found. However, following the release of the firmware, TM would need to perform full security and service testing to ensure the new firmware is compatible with all our services. The new firmware is expected to be officially released for our unifi customers in 2 weeks' time.

In the meantime, customers are adviced to take the following actions below in order to secure your router:

1.     Disable the Remote Management features in admin panel.  Click here

2.     Change the wireless SSID password and PIN code to prevent unauthorised users from accessing the LAN.  Click here

3.     Change the device's administrator password. Be sure to use a strong new password.  Click here

We would like to emphasise that product security and customer privacy are important concerns to us. We continuously work towards mitigating any risk of potential harm and take the necessary steps to address evolving security issues and implement appropriate security measures.

Please do get in touch with us via e-mail at, tweet us @TMConnects, or chat with us live at Live Chat if you require any further assistance.

Thank you.
