The era of the tablet is finally here and leading the pack is most likely to be your key to successful business productivity, the iPad2. Some say you may end up a slave to the all new, all powerful iPad2 but what’s the attraction and desire for one that makes us want it so bad?

No bigger than a sheet of A4 paper, the iPad2 aces in mobility and yet delivers power like most laptops today. But before you think of chucking away your laptop for the lighter, slender and trendier iPad2, it’s not designed to be a sole replacement for all your business needs. It does however give you more control of your business especially when you have to be away from the office.

FaceTime- Not only are you constantly connected, it enhances communication where it reminds you of your scheduled conference calls using the iPad2’s integrated camera. You can make these video calls via FaceTime or even on Skype.

Apps for everything – These includes apps that keep track of your deals with vendors, track billing hours and invoice clients and even an app that keeps record of your business expenses with detailed reports.

As for a writer like me, it’s just not what the iPad is made for but, having it sure does help when I need to get things done - especially when I am on the go. Be it a traveller or  a businessman away on business trip, the iPad2 lets them navigates their way like a local to the latest and trendiest hot spots while keeping them up-to-date on emails and of course, to a sudden need to meet to meet a deadline.

Listing out everything about the iPad2 is insurmountable. But whether you use all of its features or just one, it all really comes down to how much efficiency you want out of your daily work life. The iPad2 is indeed a great investment if you’re looking for overall convenience, mobility, and power. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to look good working on one too.
