Malaysia Direct

Malaysia Direct is a service which enables Malaysians traveling abroad to call home using a Malaysian operator or through automated dialing via the Telecard (Calling Card) or the Ring Ring Card (Prepaid Card).

Your call will be either billed as 'reverse charged' or billed to your Telecard account or the charged amount will be deducted from the value of your Ring Ring Card.

  • Avoid hefty hotel surcharges on International calls.
  • Avoid leaving friends/hosts with hefty phone bills.
  • Calls can be charged to your Telecard account at TM's International Call SINGLE RATE PER COUNTRY (please refer to International Call tariff).
  • The Ring Ring Card (Prepaid Card) can also be used to make Malaysia Direct calls.

Charges/Tariff

1. Malaysia Direct call via operator

  • The call will be charged as per operator rates at person-to-person or station-to-station rates.
    i.e. 3 minutes + additional minute
  • A service charge of RM5.00 per call will be imposed
  • Call rates differ between person-to-person and station-to-station calls

2. Malaysia Direct call via Telecard and Ring Ring Card

  • The call will be charged as per TM's International Call service - SINGLE RATE PER COUNTRY (please refer to International Call tariff).
  • No surcharges

Note: Some hotels might impose a surcharge before making any calls.
