RWO

Overview

Recoverable Work Order (RWO) is a process used to claim a one off recoverable cost for work carried out by TM Wholesale which involves Network Infrastructure and relocation on management approved circumstances.

The RWO is categorised into two types: Customer Request and Accident Cases.

Customer Request
Customer Request is defined as a desire for activities such as:

  • Escort - to accompany vendor in installing their equipment at TM’s premises
  • Diversion, re-routing - work carried out to divert or re-route TM cables or posts for the housing developer
  • Installation - preparing or set in position for diversion or re-route or installation
  • Site Survey - a detailed inspection or investigation at a specific location
  • Site Office - to install telephone lines, cable for housing developer for fax service or telephone
  • Supervision - supervise or to have the direction and oversee on the performance of others
  • Consultancy - an instance of consulting or a business offering expert or professional advice in a field
  • Site clearance - process of clearing a place
  • Regulated services  

Accident Cases
Accident Cases includes repair, re-route due to accidents. Accidents are classified as:

  • Identified Party Accident cases whereby the responsible party is identified and will bear the cost via RWO bill issued

  • Unidentified Party Accident cases whereby the responsible party is not identified and the work will be treated as UWO (Unrecoverable Work Order)

Unrecoverable Work Order (UWO)
UWO are cases where work or activities carried out are not recoverable and are treated as part of TM Wholesale maintenance work. Examples of such work include:

  • Natural disaster, riot, and theft
  • Identified accident cases turned into unidentified accident cases as the party identified had passed away
  • Work done for the government (Jabatan Perdana Menteri) and local authorities for relocation and reinstallation of public amenities at the government's land such as JKR, DBKL, MPPJ and MPAJ. (Please refer to Financial Directive reference: Telco 32 TCFO 1200 dated March 25, 1996).
