Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today announced that it has signed up a partnership deal with English Premier League Champion, Manchester United (MU) as the official Telecommunications Partner for the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 in Malaysia. The partnership is sealed in conjunction with MU’s visit to Malaysia as part of the Manchester United Asian Tour 2009.
Malaysia is the first stop in the tour and MU will play the not-to-be-missed match against the Malaysia XI selection (comprising of national players and selected Malaysian football league players) at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday, 18 July 2009 at 5.30 p.m.
With the partnership, football enthusiasts among TM customers in Malaysia will get access to rich football content of Manchester United such as latest news, fan videos, team profiles and an online contest. Visitors need only to register as a member on Hypp.TV, to view the MU content and be part of the online fan activities.
In addition, lucky Hypp.TV members will also stand a chance to win complimentary passes to watch the MU training session at Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil on 17 July 2009. They could also win autographed merchandise and limited edition jerseys when they submit their best photo captured during the training session in the Hypp.TV Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 Photo Contest.
In conjunction with the momentous event, TM will also be offering an exclusive Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 t-shirt with every new subscription of Streamyx Standard and Streamyx Combo Wifi @ Home 1Mbps with Voice RM10 or Voice RM28 packages while stocks last.
Also available for the 4.2 million MU fans in Malaysia are special edition of TM’s iTalk prepaid calling cards featuring MU’s images on the cards. The limited edition iTalk cards up for grabs are available in RM20 denomination. Fans will also receive a limited edition Manchester United Asia Tour 2009poster with a copy of a special message to Manchester United fans from the Manchester United manager,Sir Alex Ferguson with every purchase of the limited edition iTalk card, while stocks last.
