Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), the Official Telecommunications Partner for the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 in Malaysia, made the run up to this weekend’s match between the Red Devils and the Malaysian XI even more exciting by flagging-off 20 of their promotional cars.These 20 cars, all decorated with Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 logo’s, will be roaming around Klang Valley, making stops at strategic locations promoting the iTalk calling card and also Streamyx packages. Among the locations are Pos Malaysia headquarters located at Daya Bumi in KL, UiTM campus in Shah Alam, Sony in Bangi and UKM campus in Bangi.Malaysia is the first stop in the tour and MU will play the not-to-be-missed match against the Malaysia XI selection (comprising of national players and selected Malaysian football league players) at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday, 18 July 2009 at 5.30 p.m. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Dato’ Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa said, “It’s not often that you get a world class football team here in Malaysia. As their last planned tour in 2005 was cancelled, TM decided to celebrate their stop in Malaysia and also their 2009 tour of Asia by bringing the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 themed TM products to the fans. The roaming of MU themed TM cars around town are also a two pronged approach as it also increases our customers’ awareness on our broadband TV portal, Hypp.TV.”The partnership with the football giants makes it possible, for TM customers in Malaysia to get access to rich football content of Manchester United such as latest news, fan videos, team profiles and an online contest. Visitors need only to register as a member on Hypp.TV, to view the MU content and be part of the online fan activities.
They could also win autographed merchandise and limited edition jerseys when they submit their best photo captured during the team’s training session at Stadium Bukit Jalil scheduled tomorrow at 5.30 p.m. in the Hypp.TV Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 Photo Contest.
