Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) in collaboration with one FM of Media Prima Radio Network, held the last leg of the one FM mall tour which was also the last leg of the ‘Stomp the Ground’ Shuffle Dance Competition.
The one FM One Fun Day mall tour headed its last leg of the tour at BB Park in Kuala Lumpur last weekend, after stops in Muar, Johor, Sunway Pyramid and IOI Mall, Puchong, in Selangor, Mahkota Parade in Melaka, Gurney Plaza, in Penang and Ipoh Parade, in Ipoh.
Working hand in hand with the one FM announcers, TM travelled up north and down south for the much anticipated mall tour and gave away RM15,000 worth of prizes at various locations in Peninsular Malaysia!
One of the main activities during the mall tour is a shuffle dance competition organized by TM. Aptly called ‘STOMP THE GROUND’, the competition intends to bring out the best among the best shufflers from each location. This weekend will see the final leg of the shuffle competition to choose the finalist to represent Kuala Lumpur. The competition is opened to both individual and group participations. What makes the competition extra tricky is that, each person or group is only given a total of two (2) minutes each to showcase their skills. There’s no age limit too.
7 finalists showcased their shuffling skills in the final round to lay their claim on the coveted ‘Sifu Shuffler’ title. The judges had a tough time tabulating the points as all the participants regardless of their age wowed the crowd with their witty and at times cheeky, moves.
Apeq from Kuala Lumpur emerged as the grand prize winner to entitle him the ‘Sifu Shuffler’ title and brought home a cool cash prize of RM3000. Meanwhile, the 1st runner up, Funka Faction from Puchong Selangor; and the 2nd runner up, EGS Monsters from Melaka won RM1,500 and RM700 respectively.
one FM One Fun Day weekends were filled with activities as well as live performances from the hottest local acts. Not only did members of the public who visited the mall tour enjoy great discounts and interesting deals on TM’s latest offerings, but they also bonded with their families through the fun and activities that has been lined up for the tour. Visitors even got the chance to join in the fun with their favorite announcers and celebrities.
