TMIM LAUNCHES INAUGURAL EDITION OF ‘YELLOW POST’

TM Info-Media Sdn Bhd (TMIM), formerly known as Telekom Publications Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today launched the inaugural edition of its latest publication, aptly called ‘Yellow Post’.

Yellow Post, targeted at the youth, provides a platform for its readers to share their views and opinions on issues currently concerning our society. The content which comprises articles and information on current talkabouts as well as feature articles on social and community issues, is aimed to enlighten and enrich the readers’ hearts and minds. The publication is also designed to encourage and motivate our youth to be optimistic and positive.

Another main feature of the newspaper is the classified pages where businesses can advertise their products and services in this column. Corporates, enterprises and organizations are much welcomed to take this opportunity and utilise the advertising space in Yellow Post for their benefit. But the space is not only limited to businesses, even individuals can advertise anything that they intend to sell or buy.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, Chairman of TMIM, said: “We are excited about the prospect of Yellow Post as it complements other advertising and listing channels that we offer to our customers, including print-based and electronic. This will further reinforce TMIM’s aim to transform itself from a mere directory company into a truly ‘information-media’ company.”

A total of 100,000 copies of Yellow Post will be distributed for free every Friday at Coffee Bean and Focus Point outlets, Fitness First centres, KL Monorail stations and TMpoints throughout Klang Valley. The inaugural edition was distributed to the public last Friday, 15 September 2006.

The publication was launched today by YB. Dato’ Sri Effendi Norwawi, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in the presence of Dato’ Abdul Wahid Omar, Group Chief Executive of TM, Zamzamzairani and Nasser Abu Bakar, Chief Executive Officer of TMIM.
