TM OPENS CONTEST TO THOSE ABOVE 12 YEARS OLD

Emily Wu Ting Ting today drove home a brand new Proton Waja Campro 1.6 AT as the first monthly lucky winner of RM1 Million Reward Program, a program by Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).

Dato’ Abdul Wahid Omar, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM handed over the mock key of the Proton Waja to Emily, 38, from Puchong, Selangor. This is the first of the three monthly car prizes to be won for this program in addition to the maximum of 10 daily winners who can get a cash rebate of RM100. The Grand Prize of RM1 million cash will be given away at the end of year.

Speaking at the prize giving ceremony, Dato’ Abdul Wahid Omar said: “We are receiving encouraging response for this program. More than 140,000 completed entry forms have been received so far. In addition, as this program is also open to registered prepaid  mobile subscribers, this program complements Celcom’s drive to expedite the registration of prepaid mobile subscribers.”

“We hope more of our customers will submit their entries because they stand a chance to win fabulous prizes, not only daily prizes, but also the remaining two monthly prizes of MyVi and Gen2 and most importantly, the Grand Prize of RM1 million cash,” he added.

Although the forms can be submitted in two formats namely online and printed copy, it is interesting to note that more than half, 77,000, were submitted online. Customers are encouraged to submit them online as it would be simpler and faster with less chances for error.

To participate, customers just need to fill up the online form at www.tmonline.com.my or get a copy of the printed form from any of TMpoints or Celcom branches located nationwide. A hyperlink to the program’s website is also available at the Company’s corporate website, www.tm.com.my.

Customers can also easily fill up the forms, either printed or via online, at our booths at TM Group events such as Syoknya Fiesta and Syoknya Broadband among others, which are being held nationwide.

In addition, to give more customers a hand at winning the prizes, effective 1 June 2006, the age limit for the program has been changed to 12 years and above compared to the initial age limit of 18 years old. Through this, TM hopes to encourage the teenagers who are mostly users of Celcom prepaid, to participate and have a chance to win. However, those between 12 and 18 years of age are required to obtain their parents’ consent.

Launched in May 2006, this program is aimed at enriching TM’s existing customer profile database to enable the Company to serve the customers better through direct and targeted communications. This reward program is also another way to reward the customers for their ongoing support and loyalty to TM.

All residential customers of TM who currently subscribe to TM Homeline and/or TM Home Prepaid and/or TM Net services are eligible to participate in this program. In addition, all individual customers of Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad who subscribe to Celcom Postpaid and/or Registered Celcom Prepaid services can also participate. All they need to do is fill up a simple form, tell us about themselves , their lifestyle and complete a short slogan creatively.
