TM LAUNCHES ITALK WITH MOBILE
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today launched its enhanced and upgraded prepaid calling card, aptly called iTalk with Mobile.
iTalk with Mobile is a prepaid calling card service that uses Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), enabling users to make National calls within Malaysia and International calls to and from overseas at a competitive price. The service can be used with any Homeline, Businessline and as an enhanced function, the service is also accessible from mobile phones.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dato’ Adnan Rofiee, Chief Operating Officer of TM Retail, said: “The launch of iTalk with Mobile marks TM’s commitment in providing the most convenient and user-friendly way of communicating, especially considering the trend of high mobile usage these days. I am very happy to note that TM has taken another step towards ensuring our products and services meet our customers’ needs.”
With iTalk with Mobile, customers can enjoy nationwide call rate as low as 12 sen per minute, as well as a very competitive rate for International calls. They can also access the Internet with this service. In addition, iTalk with Mobile can be used abroad where the charges will be in Ringgit Malaysia (RM). Users need not to key in lengthy Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) and most importantly, the card can be used with any mobile numbers provided by local mobile operators.
Dato’ Adnan added, ”I believe iTalk with Mobile will fit perfectly in today’s lifestyle, as it would enable everyone to communicate economically from anywhere, anytime.”
He further explained, “The public is already familiar of our iTalk product and it is being used by students, expatriates as well as corporate personnel and others because of its numerous benefits and highly attractive rates. In view of this, TM has come up with this innovation to extend the value of iTalk card to the mobile phone users. The enhancement of the original service to iTalk with Mobile would be useful for existing iTalk users and also new customers.”
The iTalk with Mobile prepaid calling card is very convenient and user-friendly. Customers can purchase the calling cards from more than 10,000 distribution outlets nationwide, TMpoint outlets nationwide, mobile phone retailers, petrol stations, convenience stores or via online at Maybank2u. The cards are available in denominations of RM10, RM30 and RM50.
